NCT00002779
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy and hormone therapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of fludarabine plus octreotide in treating patients who have relapsed low-grade non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
NCT00068666
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as temozolomide, use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Combining temozolomide with radiation therapy may make the tumor cells more sensitive to radiation therapy and kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving temozolomide together with radiation therapy works in treating patients with stage IV malignant melanoma with measurable and unresectable cancer limited to the central nervous system.
NCT00062062
RATIONALE: Biological therapies such as gefitinib may interfere with the growth of cancer cells and slow the growth of the tumor. Drugs used in chemotherapy such as carboplatin and paclitaxel use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining gefitinib with carboplatin and paclitaxel may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving gefitinib alone or together with carboplatin and paclitaxel works in treating older patients with unresectable or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer.
NCT01147250
Primary Objective: \- To demonstrate that lixisenatide can reduce cardiovascular (CV) morbidity and mortality (composite endpoint of CV death, non-fatal myocardial infarction (MI), non-fatal stroke, hospitalization for unstable angina) compared to placebo in type 2 diabetic participants who recently experienced an acute coronary syndrome (ACS) event. Secondary Objectives: To demonstrate that when compared to placebo, lixisenatide can reduce: * composite endpoint of CV death, non-fatal MI, non-fatal stroke, hospitalization for unstable angina, or hospitalization for heart failure. * composite endpoint of CV death, non-fatal MI, non-fatal stroke, hospitalization for unstable angina, hospitalization for heart failure, or coronary revascularization procedure. * urinary albumin excretion (based on the urinary albumin/creatinine ratio). To assess the safety and tolerability of lixisenatide.
NCT01444430
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the safety of Symbicort compared to inhaled corticosteroid alone during 6 months in adult and adolescent patients with asthma
NCT02668991
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the utility of and to clinically validate the Autism Behavior Inventory (ABI) in measuring clinical symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) compared with other gold standard measures.
NCT01112722
The study will identify the efficacy of Apitox, purified honeybee toxin, in 330 patients with diagnosed osteoarthritis of the knee. The subjects will be evaluated for relief of pain using Western Ontario and McMaster Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) and Physician and Patient Global Assessments and primary efficacy measure of relief of pain and inflammation over a 12 week treatment period after randomization into the trial. Secondary efficacy is improvement of mobility Treatment effect will be compared in a 2-1 Apitox vs active control
NCT02865005
Multi-center, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial of Dapsone 5.0% Gel in the treatment of acne vulgaris.
NCT00048035
This study will determine the appropriate dose and frequency of administration of iv Mircera maintenance therapy in hemodialysis patients with chronic renal anemia who were previously receiving iv epoetin. The anticipated time on study treatment is 3-12 months and the target sample size is \<100 individuals.
NCT02996136
The ARROW-FLU Influenza A\&B Test is an in vitro diagnostic immuno-chromatographic assay intended for the qualitative detection of influenza A and influenza B viral nucleoprotein antigens from nasal or nasopharyngeal swab specimens in symptomatic patients. It is intended to aid in the rapid differential diagnosis of influenza A and/or B viral infections. This test is not intended for the detection of influenza C viruses. A negative test is presumptive and it is recommended these results be confirmed by cell culture of an FDA cleared molecular device. Negative results do not preclude influenza virus infection and should not be used as the sole basis for treatment or other management decisions.
NCT00539994
This is a Phase I/IIa randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, PK, and efficacy of Retapamulin ointment, 1% applied twice daily for 3 or 5 days to the anterior nares of healthy adult subjects who are nasally colonized with S. aureus. Approximately 57 healthy subjects who are nasal carriers of S. aureus will be enrolled and stratified in a 2:1 ratio so that at least 38 persistent carriers and 19 intermittent carriers complete the study. Each eligible subject will participate in three screening visits, a treatment period, and two follow-up visits. Each subject's participation in the study will be approximately 6 to 10 weeks from screening to the last follow-up visit. Subjects will participate in up to three screening visits to determine S. aureus culture positivity and colonization status.
NCT02034344
The purpose of this study is to obtain skin, blood, and urine samples from patients with active cutaneous lupus lesions and from healthy participants.
NCT00359983
This study is evaluating antibody persistence at 1, 3 \& 5 years post-fourth dose (i.e., at 2, 4 \& 6 years of age, respectively) in subjects vaccinated in a previous study. This protocol posting deals with objectives \& outcome measures of the extension phase at years 1, 3 and 5. The objectives \& outcome measures of the first four doses are presented in a separate protocol posting (NCT00129129). This protocol posting has been amended in order to comply with the FDA Amendment Act of September 26, 2007.
NCT01928368
The purpose of this study is to determine if a single dose of AMG 282 is safe in healthy subjects and subjects with mild atopic asthma.
NCT01521143
As \< 10% of the necessary patients required by the protocol were recruited and the data were not intended to support a labeling claim, it was determined that the abbreviated clinical study report (CSR) was the appropriate reporting format. No efficacy analyses were performed as the trial was terminated early with incomplete enrollment of \< 10%. The purpose of this study is to determine if an investigational cell therapy called Cvac can help epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) from returning when administered to patients who are in complete remission after surgical removal of their tumor followed by standard first-line (Part A) or second-line (Part B) chemotherapy. Following remission, patients will undergo leukapheresis for the manufacture of the study agent. After completion of chemotherapy and confirmation of remission, patients will enter the treatment phase of the study.
