NCT00313300
The purpose of this clinical research study is to determine whether apixaban will be safe in people who have recently had unstable angina or a heart attack.
NCT01816295
The main purpose of this study is to evaluate if testosterone solution can raise testosterone hormone levels into the normal range, and also improve levels of sexual arousal, interest and drive and/or energy level, in men with low testosterone and decreased sexual arousal, interest and drive and/or decreased energy. The study will last about 16 weeks, followed by an optional 24 week open label treatment phase to investigate the long term safety of testosterone solution.
NCT00498602
To access the safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity of ACC-001, an investigational active immunization, in subjects with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease.
NCT00040157
To determine safety and efficacy of ACH-126,443 on the treatment of adults with HIV infection who have modestly detectable viral load while on stable triple combination antiretroviral therapy including 3TC.
NCT00786201
The experimental drug CNTO 888 is currently being studied in cancer patients with solid tumors and this study is the first to use this drug for patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). This study tests the safety and effectiveness of CNTO 888 compared to placebo. The purpose of this research study is to determine if CNTO 888 is safe and to determine its effects (good and bad) on patients with IPF. The study will be conducted at approximately 28 sites globally. Patients can remain on usual, accepted treatment for IPF while enrolled in the study. Participating in other experimental studies or taking other experimental medications while participating in this study will not be allowed.
NCT00110357
The purpose of this clinical research study is to establish the maximum tolerated dose and recommended Phase II dose of Erbitux™ in combination with Irinotecan in pediatric and adolescent patients with refractory solid tumors.
NCT02013310
This is a Phase 2 randomized, multicenter, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group study to evaluate the efficacy of HT-0712 in improving memory and cognitive performance in subjects with Age-Associated Memory Impairment (AAMI)
NCT00698841
The purpose of this study is to determine whether corrected QT (QTc) interval changes occur on an electrocardiogram (ECG) when cetuximab is administered to the study population.
NCT00112294
The primary purpose of this clinical research study is to learn if patients treated with the combination of Taxane/Carboplatin plus Cetuximab (C/T/C) have a longer progression-free survival than patients treated with Taxane/Carboplatin (T/C) alone. The safety of this treatment will also be studied.
NCT01659996
The aim of the study is to further characterize the safety and immunogenicity of Menactra® in the population \<2 years of age when administered alone and when the second dose is administered concomitantly with the 4th dose of Pentacel®, a licensed pediatric vaccine. Primary Objectives: * To evaluate and compare the antibody responses to meningococcal serogroups A, C, Y, and W-135 induced by 2 injections of Menactra® in subjects aged 9 months at the first vaccination visit and 15 to 18 months at the second vaccination visit. * To evaluate and compare the antibody responses to Pertussis (pertussis toxoid \[PT\], filamentous haemagglutinin \[FHA\] and pertactin \[PRN\]) antigens induced by a dose of Pentacel® when administered concomitantly with Menactra® to those elicited by a dose of Pentacel® administered alone. * To evaluate and compare the antibody responses to polyribosylribitol phosphate (PRP), tetanus and diphtheria antigens induced by a dose of Pentacel® when administered concomitantly with Menactra® to those elicited by a dose of Pentacel® alone. Observational Objectives: * To describe the safety profile (immediate unsolicited AEs within 30 minutes of each trial vaccination, solicited reactions within 7 days of each vaccination, unsolicited AEs within 30 days of each vaccination, and serious adverse events \[SAEs\] throughout the course of the trial from Day 0 up to Day 30 after the last trial vaccination\[s\]) in all trial groups * To describe the antibody responses to meningococcal serogroups A, C, Y, and W-135, measured by SBA HC, 30 days after the second Menactra® administration * To describe the antibody responses to Pentacel® (PT, FHA, PRN, FIM, diphtheria, tetanus, polio, PRP) measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), radioimmunoassay (RIA), or functional assays.
NCT00426556
Phase I: will look at different dose levels and regimens of everolimus combined with weekly trastuzumab and paclitaxel therapy in patients with HER-2 overexpressing metastatic breast cancer. Phase II: will assess the efficacy and safety of the 10mg daily dose of everolimus combined with weekly trastuzumab and paclitaxel therapy in patients with HER-2 overexpressing metastatic breast cancer.
NCT02258867
The objective of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of gevokizumab in treating Behcet's disease uveitis (BDU).
NCT00272181
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety, effectiveness, and recommended dose of Proxinium in North American patients with Squamous Cell Head and Neck Cancer
NCT01919229
This is a multi-center, open-label Phase II randomized pre-surgical pharmacodynamics study.
NCT01709474
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the effects of 18 weeks of high-dose vitamin D3 supplementation compared with standard-dose vitamin D3 supplementation on immune function, glucose homeostasis, and bone metabolism in children with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D \[25(OH)D\] levels ≤20 ng/mL.
NCT01332656
Primary Objective: \- To demonstrate an improvement in Progression-Free Survival (PFS) for Ombrabulin versus placebo in patients with platinum-sensitive recurrent ovarian cancer (OC) treated with paclitaxel and carboplatin. Secondary Objectives: * To compare the overall survival (OS) between the 2 treatment arms * To compare the objective response rate (RR) between the 2 treatment arms

NCT02113124
Years after a suffering a brain injury, individuals remain in a physically and cognitively impaired state. The investigators believe that the concentrations of amino acids in the blood are chronically altered and yield negative effects on the individuals health. Preliminary data has shown significantly lower concentrations of amino acids in serum samples from the TBI population, these diminished levels of amino acids may be due to changes in the microbiome. Understanding these changes will help guide rehabilitative services for this population. Individuals with a chronic brain injury will donate samples of blood, oral tissue, and fecal matter to be compared to that of non-injured individuals. Genetic information from the hosts will be striped and discarded; participant's genetic information will not be retained. To better understand changes in the microbiome, any history of antibiotics and probiotics will be assessed.
NCT00466804
Injury of transplant tissue by a transplant recipient's immune system continues to be the leading cause of graft rejection and recipient death. The purpose of this study is to identify a single test or a combination of noninvasive tests currently used for heart transplant monitoring that correlate to long-term graft survival.
