NCT03520959
To assess if the CMB305 vaccine regimen may help the body's immune system to slow or stop the growth of synovial sarcoma tumor and improve survival.
NCT00562328
RATIONALE: Monoclonal antibodies, such as rituximab and alemtuzumab, can block cancer growth in different ways. Some block the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Others find cancer cells and help kill them or carry cancer-killing substances to them. Colony-stimulating factors, such as GM-CSF, may increase the number of immune cells found in bone marrow or peripheral blood. Giving monoclonal antibody therapy together with GM-CSF may be an effective treatment for early-stage chronic lymphocytic leukemia. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying the side effects of giving rituximab and alemtuzumab together with GM-CSF and to see how well it works in treating patients with early-stage chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
NCT03286764
The investigators hypothesize that spraying peppermint oil containing L-menthol onto the colonic mucosa during colonoscopy will relax smooth muscle allowing better colonic visualization.
NCT03705013
The primary endpoint is to obtain longitudinal information on four sub-populations from the Cologuard Post-Approval Study.
NCT04300907
A study of the use of the Provant Infinity Therapy System when treatment is administered 30 minutes twice daily for 8-weeks (56 days ± 3 days) at home for postoperative pain.
NCT02988115
The purpose of this study is to determine if bempedoic acid (ETC-1002) is effective and safe versus placebo in patients with elevated LDL cholesterol and who are statin-intolerant.
NCT02790606
The objective of this study is to assess the safety and effectiveness of the COVERA™ Vascular Covered Stent for the treatment of stenotic lesions in the upper extremity venous outflow of the Arteriovenous (AV) access circuit.
NCT02951026
This long-term extension study is designed to monitor the long-term safety, tolerability, and efficacy of treatment of SM04690 or placebo previously injected in the target knee joints of subjects with moderately to severely symptomatic osteoarthritis (OA) from a Samumed-sponsored SM04690-OA phase 2 or phase 3 study. No additional SM04690 or placebo therapy will be administered in this study.
NCT02961764
This study will evaluate a new critical pathway (use of guideline-based patient identification criteria and for those who meet these criteria, use of dalbavancin) for the treatment of ABSSSI compared to usual care.
NCT02384460
The aim was to assess the efficacy and safety of SD-101-6.0 cream versus Placebo (SD-101-0.0) cream in the treatment of skin lesions in participants with Epidermolysis Bullosa. Funding Source - United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Office of Orphan Products Development (OOPD).
NCT02346474
Background: \- It is important for doctors to know how much fat a person has in his or her body. Machines called DXAs measure how much fat mass and fat-free mass a person has. Researchers in this study have a new DXA machine, and they want to know if it measures body fat as well as the old machine. They also want to see how body fat readings from the new DXA compare to readings from a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan. Objectives: \- To see if two DXA machines give the same results when measuring body fat. Also, to know whether the DXA and MRI give the same results in measuring visceral and subcutaneous fat. Eligibility: \- People 18 years and older who weigh less than 350 pounds. Design: * Participants will be screened with a medical history and physical exam. Women will have a pregnancy test. Researchers will make sure participants are able to have an MRI if they volunteered to. * Participants will have their body fat measured by each DXA scanner. They will lie quietly on a padded table while being scanned. The scan uses X-rays to take pictures of the body. Both scans will be done on the same morning and will take 10-15 minutes on both machines. * Some participants also will have their body fat measured with MRI. They will lie in a long, tube-shaped scanner. The machine uses strong magnetic fields and radio waves to take pictures of internal organs. Participants will sign an additional consent form for this procedure.
NCT02397694
This study will evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of bictegravir (BIC) + emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide (F/TAF) fixed dose combination (FDC) versus dolutegravir (DTG) + F/TAF in HIV-1 Infected, antiretroviral treatment-naive adults. This study will also evaluate the pharmacokinetic (PK) profile of BIC, emtricitabine and TAF.
NCT03240575
The primary objective of the trial is to show superiority in lung function of once daily (2 inhalations) treatment with orally inhaled tiotropium+olodaterol fixed dose combination to twice daily (one inhalation) treatment with fluticasone propionate+salmeterol fixed dose combination over 12 weeks in patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). A Digital Health (DH) exploratory study has been integrated into the main study as a site specific study. The DH exploratory study will be performed at a single site; the site is also participating in the main study. The DH exploratory study site will enter (randomize) approximately 20 patients (subjects) (in addition to the patients to be enrolled in the main study at this site). The patients enrolled in the DH exploratory study are not considered to be part of the main study (i.e. data collected in the DH exploratory study will be analyzed separately from the data collected in the main study).
NCT02470806
The aim of this study is to compare the clinical efficacy of two types of NPWT systems; the traditional negative pressure wound therapy (tNPWT) system and the single-use negative pressure wound therapy (PICO) system.
NCT01829711
Background: \- Moxetumomab pasudotox is an experimental non-chemotherapy cancer treatment drug. It targets CD22, a molecule on the surface of essentially all hairy cell leukemia cells. Moxetumomab pasudotox binds to CD22, goes into the cell, and releases a toxin which kills the cell. In a phase I trial it had activity in relapsed/refractory hairy cell leukemia with safety profile supporting further clinical study (http://ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22355053). This is a phase III multicenter trial designed to confirm these results.
NCT04015375
To evaluate the therapeutic effect of Dapsone and Placebo gel in the treatment of acne vulgaris.
NCT00006229
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. It is not yet known whether paclitaxel and carboplatin are more effective with or without BMS-275291 for non-small cell lung cancer. PURPOSE: Randomized phase II/III trial to compare the effectiveness of paclitaxel and carboplatin with or without BMS-275291 in treating patients who have advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer.
NCT03728738
Placing the head of bed (HOB) at 0-degrees has been shown in small studies to improve blood flow to the brain in patients with ischemic stroke caused by large artery occlusions, thereby reducing stroke symptom worsening. This simple yet potentially impactful intervention has yet to be tested in a large clinical trial in hyperacute large artery ischemic stroke patients, but may provide nurses with a powerful contribution to acute stroke care that is capable of preventing worsening of stroke symptoms and promoting stabilization. Because stroke is the leading cause of preventable long-term disability in adults, this study may show that simple methods such as 0-degree HOB positioning should be considered one of the very first actions taken in the emergent management of acute ischemic stroke patients.
NCT03531905
12 week study to assess the LDL-C lowering efficacy, other lipid and glycemic measures, and safety of bempedoic acid/ezetimibe FDC compared to ezetimibe and placebo in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) and elevated LDL-C
NCT00002807
RATIONALE: Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage cancer cells. It is not yet known whether radiation therapy is more effective than observation only after sugery in treating endometrial cancer. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying radiation therapy to see how well it works compared to observation only in treating patients with stage I or stage II endometrial cancer who have undergone hysterectomy and oophorectomy.
