NCT03921879
This research study will test OT-82, which is an investigational ("research" or "experimental" ) drug. The study has two stages (Stage 1 and Stage 2). The purpose of Stage 1 is to determine the safety and tolerability and the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) or the maximum tested dose of OT-82 administered orally to participants. The purpose of Stage 2 is to determine the preliminary efficacy of OT-82 in relapsed or refractory lymphoma at the MTD or the maximum tested dose. Both parts of the study will also evaluate the pharmacokinetics (absorption, distribution, metabolism, elimination) of OT-82. OT-82 treatment slowed the growth, reduced the size, or in some cases cured certain cancers in animal studies. It is hoped that participants with relapsed or refractory lymphoma treated with OT - 82 in this study will experience slowing tumor growth and/or reduction of tumor size.
NCT03049488
Background: Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is a virus that infects the lungs and breathing passages. Healthy adults who are infected generally have mild cold symptoms for a week or two. But it can also be serious, especially for infants and older adults. It can be spread by direct or indirect contact with respiratory secretions. Researchers want to study a new vaccine to prevent RSV. Objective: To see if a vaccine for RSV is safe and if it causes side effects. Eligibility: Healthy adults 18-50 years old Design: Volunteers were screened in a separate screening protocol. Subjects had 13 visits over 1 year. Some subjects received just vaccine. Some received vaccine mixed with alum adjuvant. All subjects received their dose by injection in the upper arm. They received up to two doses, one at the beginning of the study and another 12 weeks later. Subjects were monitored for 1 hour after injection and called to check on their safety 1 day after. Subjects recorded their temperature and side effects for 7 days after each vaccination. Subjects were provided with a thermometer to measure their temperature and a ruler to measure any changes if these occurred on their skin at the injection site. At all visits, subjects were checked for health changes or problems. They may have had blood drawn. At some visits, subjects had samples collected from their nose and mouth.

NCT03207087
This trial is a prospective, multicenter, single-arm confirmatory clinical trial. The study is to confirm the safety and effectiveness of the WEB Aneurysm Embolization System demonstrated in the US WEB-IT Study for the treatment of intracranial wide-neck bifurcation aneurysms. The study's primary endpoints include a primary effectiveness endpoint and a primary safety endpoint. The study device must meet both endpoints. The primary effectiveness endpoint is adjudicated by an independent third party core lab.
NCT01726972
The proposed study aims to objectively assess 2-year clinical and radiographic results for the rate of glenoid component loosening in total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA). This retrospective radiographic review will provide evidence for equivalence or superiority in curtailing loosening, a known complication in arthroplasty, when a hemostatic agent is utilized in conjunction with cement at the glenoid.
NCT01897714
The study will explore escalating doses of melflufen in combination with dexamethasone in small groups of patients to find the maximum tolerated dose of melflufen. That dose will then be used to determine the efficacy and safety profile of melflufen in combination with dexamethasone in a larger group of patients.
NCT03155139
To investigate the prevalence of primary aldosteronism (PA) in Chinese patients with newly diagnosed hypertension.
NCT04596137
The aim of this randomized controlled study determine the effect of KMC on pain in infants during vaccination.
NCT04457869
It is a multi-center, prospective, open-label, two-stage optimized design, single-arm, phase II clinical study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of F520 for the treatment of Relapsed/Refractory Primary Central Nervous System Lymphoma (PCNSL) or Secondary Central Nervous System Lymphoma (SCNSL).
NCT04598971
Urinary tract infections (UTI) affect the urine pH and may lead to salt precipitation such as struvite. Bacteria with urease activity are known to alkalinise urine, but not much is known on how pH is changing over time during UTI. This study aims at following urine pH progression at the time of diagnosis of UTI and during the treatment phase. Description of the change in urine pH over time will help understanding the risk of struvite formation and potential timing of intervention.
NCT03071055
This is a 24 week open label study to assess the efficacy of bi-weekly ranibizumab for patients with retinal fluid due to exudative macular degeneration refractory to monthly therapy.
NCT02066662
The following trial hypothesis will be proved: In patients with atrial fibrillation and/ or pulmonary embolism standard anticoagulant treatment with coumadin/phenprocoumon is associated with accelerated coronary or valvular calcification as assessed by cardiac computed tomography compared to the new anticoagulant therapy with rivaroxaban.
NCT03688217
This cluster-randomized controlled trial seeks to evaluate the impact of a mobile video intervention for exclusive breastfeeding (MOVIE) on the infant feeding practices of mothers living in under-resourced communities in the Western Cape, South Africa. The trial will compare infant feeding practices in two groups of participants, enrolled in the Philani Mentor-Mother Outreach Program, a home-visiting program focused on community-based health promotion through peer-to-peer counseling. The participants in the intervention arm will receive the Philani Intervention Model (PIM), a perinatal health promotion intervention, together with the additional mobile, video intervention for exclusive breastfeeding. The participants in the control arm will receive only the standard PIM. Participants will be exposed to either the intervention or the control condition during pregnancy and the first five months after delivery. The central hypothesis in this trial is that, when compared with the control group, infant feeding practices in the intervention group will be significantly better aligned with current World Health Organization recommendations, after exposure to the Philani MOVIE intervention. The primary outcomes in this study are short-term exclusive breastfeeding, in the first month of life, and long-term exclusive breastfeeding, in the fifth month of life, (based on maternal 24-hour recall). Secondary outcomes include other infant feeding practices, such as early initiation of breastfeeding, any breastfeeding in the first month and in the fifth month of life, bottle-feeding, early introduction of complementary foods in the first month and in the fifth month of life and maternal knowledge in the first month and the fifth month post delivery.
NCT03419442
The study will be conducted from a real-world perspective to describe treatment sequences involving radium-223 and chemotherapy in patients with metastatic castrate resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) and assess overall survival (OS) associated with treatment sequences involving radium-223 and chemotherapy. While clinical trials of radium-223 has demonstrated a survival benefit in the treatment of mCRPC, both pre and post- docetaxel, study lacked exposure to second generation androgens and hence could not assess outcomes pre or post abiraterone or enzalutamide. The specific objective of this study is to describe and compare the clinical outcomes between treatment sequences for patients with mCRPC where 1) radium-223 is used (alone or in combination with abiraterone or enzalutamide) prior to chemotherapy versus 2) radium-223 used after chemotherapy in the treatment of mCRPC. The secondary objectives are to describe the safety patterns of docetaxel use among mCRPC patients who received chemotherapy post radium-223.
NCT01075321

NCT02953561
This phase Ib/II trial studies the best dose and side effects of avelumab when given together with azacitidine and to see how well they work in treating patients with acute myeloid leukemia that is not responding to treatment or has come back. Monoclonal antibodies, such as avelumab, may interfere with the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Azacitidine may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving avelumab and azacitidine may work better in treating patients with acute myeloid leukemia.
