NCT02538341
The VaricElla zosteR VaccinE (VERVE) trial evaluates the safety and effectiveness of the Herpes zoster (HZ) vaccine for shingles, Zostavax, in patients over 50 years old with arthritis and other diseases who are using anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNF) therapy and who have not previously received the vaccine.
NCT05130541
The aim of this proposal is to study whether proning, a technique that has previously been shown to improve lung function in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), can prevent those with mild to moderate symptoms of COVID-19 from progressing to severe disease when initiated early, thereby averting intubation, reducing hospitalization, and, ultimately, decreasing mortality.
NCT04062799
The objective is to evaluate if the immune risk phenotype (IRP) in patients who have been admitted for pneumonia predisposes to worse long-term outcomes. In addition, the association between the detected immunological alterations and clinical, functional, nutritional or comorbidity risk factors will be evaluated. If the hypothesis is confirmed, helpful immunological markers will be identified. This will be useful in clinical practice to identify patients who can benefit from an intervention and / or to identify the best time for vaccination. Otherwise, valuable information will be obtained on the interrelation between immunological, clinical, functional and nutritional aspects.
NCT05131009
This study aims to collect perioperative diagnosis and treatment information of patients undergoing abdominal surgery at plateau and plain areas , collect blood and others samples for laboratory testing when necessary, analyzing the data to clarify the incidence and risk factors of pulmonary complications in patients undergoing abdominal surgery at different altitudes, so as to reduce the risk of pulmonary complications and even death in clinical practice.
NCT05128864
This study will compare Hight Tibial Osteotomy with or without Fulkerson Osteotomy performed on patients with early stages of Osteoarthritis with patellofemoral joint disorders. The purpose of this study is evaluate which type of osteotomy provides better clinical, radiological and laboratory outcomes.
NCT05128552
This study was conducted to investigate the effect of the LVR technique on cough ineffectiveness, to determine its benefit as a simple, safe, and inexpensive cough augmentation technique, and to determine how much the LVR method, for augmenting CPF, is useful in enhancing the success of extubation and reducing the rate of reintubation.
NCT03804125
To characterize and analyze the number, type and incidence of adverse events/suspected adverse drug reactions in patients treated with Apixaban, according to therapeutic indications approved in Mexico.
NCT04133415
Standard palliative radiotherapy regimens may provide limited durability of response in large tumors. Thus, there is a clinical need for a new approach. The Lattice SBRT approach will deliver 20 Gy in 5 fractions with partial volume simultaneous integrated boosts to 66.7 Gy. This is hypothesized to improve symptom response, local control, and better prime the tumor microenvironment for immune response compared with standard palliative radiotherapy doses. It is also hypothesized that this will be associated with less toxicity than the traditional homogenous SBRT plan delivered to a large tumor. Blood will be collected before and after Lattice SBRT for evaluation of the peripheral blood immune microenvironment.
NCT05128851
This study will compare Hight Tibial Osteotomy with or without arthroscopically repair intra-articular knee lesions in patients with early stages of Osteoarthritis. The purpose of this study is evaluate if addition of arthroscopy to HTO provides better clinical, radiological and laboratory outcomes.
NCT04921761
The study aims to evaluate whether the dural puncture epidural technique (group B) improves sacral block anesthesia during vaginal surgeries compared with the conventional epidural technique (group A).
NCT04718012
ROS1 translocated Non small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a rare type of lung cancer with few datas. We collected datas concerning patients with ROS1 translocated NSCLC who received Brigatinib in the Compassionate Access after two others Tyrosine kinase Inhibitors
NCT02332226
The aim of this project is to evaluate a person-centred informational intervention aimed at parents of children with cancer. The following hypotheses will be tested: an informational intervention emanating from the parents' self-identified needs is associated to decreased illness-related parenting stress, decreased post-traumatic stress symptoms, increased received knowledge, decreased anxiety, decreased depression, increased satisfaction with information, and decreased number of health care contacts in parents.
NCT02010606
The purpose of this study is to test the safety and effects of a special type of a cancer vaccine called a 'dendritic cell vaccine' in patients with either newly diagnosed or recurrent glioblastoma. The goal of this dendritic cell vaccine is to activate a patient's own immune system against their tumor. This study utilizes a patient's own immune-stimulating dendritic cells that are isolated in a procedure called leukapheresis. In a laboratory, these dendritic cells are treated in a way that is designed to promote an immune response against cancer stem cells. Then the dendritic cells are injected under the skin in a series of vaccinations, with the goal of activating an immune response against cancer stem cells in the tumor. To qualify for this study, patients must have very little to no residual tumor visible on a recent MRI. In addition to the vaccines, patients with newly diagnosed glioblastoma will receive standard temozolomide chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Patients with recurrent glioblastoma will not receive any treatment other than the vaccines as long as they are participating in this study, unless they were previously treated with bevacizumab, in which case they will be allowed to continue receiving bevacizumab.
NCT03389022
The aim of this study was to evaluate an effect of pre - incisional single injection of low-dose ketamine on postoperative pain after remifentanil infusion in patients undergoing laparoscopic gastric bypass and gastric plication surgery. Ketamine is an old general anaesthetic. Low doses of it might be used as a adjunct in postoperative analgesia. The investigators expect that the low-dose ketamine reduces postoperative pain after bariatric surgeries.
NCT04789434
This is a multicenter, randomized controlled, prospective clinical trial. The objective is to investigate the efficacy and safety of Tislelizumab maintenance therapy in newly diagnosed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) patients after autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (ASCT).
NCT04199130
The purpose of this research study is to develop a method to improve thinking difficulties in individuals who have experienced a traumatic brain injury and report experiencing difficulties in attention and concentration. This study aims to understand how cognitive rehabilitation of attention difficulties affects brain activity.
NCT05129774
In left-sided colon and rectal cancer, the occurrence of synchronous para-aortic lymph node metastasis is rare, with the incidence of being approximate 1-2%. Currently, there has been no standard treatment strategy for this situation. The present trial is designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of para-aortic lymph node dissection for left-sided colon and rectal cancer with synchronous para-aortic lymph node metastasis
NCT01324232
The objectives of the study are to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of 3 doses of AVP-923 capsules in the treatment of central neuropathic pain in participants with multiple sclerosis.
NCT03123588
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of ruxolitinib versus anagrelide in subjects with essential thrombocythemia who are resistant to or intolerant of hydroxyurea.
NCT05127083
Oral lichen planus (OLP) is a chronic inflammatory and immune-mediated disease affecting the oral mucosa. OLP presents with asymptomatic, lacelike white stripes and/or symptomatic red, ulcerated mucous membranes. Eating, drinking and oral hygiene procedures may be painful resulting in reduced quality of life (QOL). Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a new suggestion for OLP treatment PDT is a successful treatment mo- dality for premalignant and malignant diseases of head and neck, gastrointestinal tract, lung, and skin In this study, the effect of photodynamic therapy with topical corticosteroid in oral lichen planus patients was compared
