NCT05423782
Introduction : World Health Organization (WHO) considers that the heterogeneity of concepts and definitions of migrants is an obstacle to obtaining evidence to inform public health policies. Thus, it recommends distinguishing refugees from asylum seekers. Asylum seekers are migrants who recently arrived in their host country and whose administrative situation is being examined. They do not have the same access to health care or the same rights as refugees. In France in 2021, 78,372 major people filled a first asylum application, a 26.4% increase compared to 2020 Regarding the mental health of exiles, a literature review informs us that 31.5% of them suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), 31.5% from depression and 11.1% from anxiety disorders. However, these data are taken from studies that do not make a distinction between refugees and asylum seekers These missing data are a hindrance to the development of efficient strategies for the management of these populations within the health systems of Western countries. The primary objective of this study was to describe the health status of asylum seekers who have recently arrived in their Western host country. The secondary objective was to investigate potential explanatory factors for the health status of asylum seekers. Method: Single-center, cross-sectional, observational epidemiological study. The Refugee health screener (RHS15) questionnaire and the Cumulative Illness Rating Scale (CIRS) will be administered by a trained interviewer to each patient included on the day of their inclusion, in the asylum seekers reception platform (PADA).Potential use of tobacco, existence of an adapted treatment in case of a detected pathology and certain socio-demographic data will also be collected. A telephone interpreting service will be used in the case of an allophone patient whose spoken language is not spoken by the interviewer. Each patient included will have an appointment to perform a standardised blood and urine sample. Benefits : PREMENTADA study will provide a better understanding of the health status of the population of asylum seekers in France. As the existence of data is a prerequisite for evidence-based medicine, we notice the lack of previous studies specifically addressing this population in France.
NCT05425381
This efficacy trial will evaluate the impact of an enhanced version of the Interconnected Systems Framework (ISFE) on elementary school-based team functioning, including use of evidence-based practices, and student emotional, behavioral, and academic functioning. The original interconnected systems framework (ISF) model was designed to improve the depth and quality of mental health services delivered within multi-tiered systems of support by integrating Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and school mental health (SMH) efforts to provide a continuum of high-quality services for students. Preliminary findings from a prior efficacy study show that the ISF improved team functioning and increased identification and services for students in need, particularly among youth of color, when compared to the other two conditions. Moreover, the ISF led to improvements in student social, emotional, and behavioral functioning. The current study builds on these findings by testing an enhanced version of the ISF designed to advance the model by adding/modifying several core components intended to further increase the impacts for youth with significant emotional and behavioral problems and reduce inequities in discipline and student service delivery.
NCT04151420
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic relapsing immune mediated inflammatory disease (IMID) of the gastrointestinal tract. Like all IMIDs (e.g. rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis) a complex interaction between a genetically altered immune response, the gut microbiota and environmental factors is causing the disease. Systemic suppression of the immune response with corticosteroids, immunomodulatory, biologicals and combination therapies increases the risk of opportunistic infections in IBD patients. Data on mild and moderate infections in medically treated IBD patients is scarce, mainly since infections treated by the general practitioner or in an outpatient setting are not systematically registered in real life. To help gastroenterologists with clinical decision making, real world data with long term follow-up concerning the risk for infectious complications, is warranted. Several observations underline the importance of real world data on mild and moderate infections in medically treated IBD patients. Mild and moderate infections mostly have a benign course, but they take longer to clear and have a large impact on (work)disability and quality of life in IBD patients. Recurrent infections influences peoples willingness to use a drug and negatively effects adherence. Furthermore, recurring mild and moderate infections might prognosticate serious infections, and systematic assessment of all infections could be used to timely adjust treatment regimens and prevent serious infections. The investigators of this study previously developed a questionnaire on self-reported infections according to the FDA guideline for patient-reported outcome measures (PROM) by interviewing 36 patients with IBD and through input of expert meetings with gastroenterologists, IBD specialists, rheumatologists, immunologists and IBD-nurses. This questionnaire has already been implemented in myIBDcoach, a validated telemedicine system implemented in routine care for over 4000 patients with IBD in the Netherlands. Assesment of reliability and validity are the last steps in validation of this remote monitoring tool. In the current study the investigators aim to: 1. Assess the reliability, construct validity and criterion validity of a remote monitoring tool (questionnaire) for infections as last step in the validation 2. Assess the relative risk of all infections (mild, moderate and severe) in a real-life population for IBD patients on different maintenance treatments 3. Identify the predictors and risk factors of mild and moderate infections. 4. Assess the relation between patient reported infections and the risk for serious infectious complications

This study will assess the drug to drug interaction between atogepant and ubrogepant and assess the safety of atogepant and ubrogepant, when given alone or in combination, in adult participants with migraine. Atogepant is an investigational (unapproved) drug for the preventative treatment of migraine. Ubrogepant is a drug approved for the acute treatment of migraine. Adult participants with a history of migraine will be enrolled. Approximately, 30 participants will be enrolled in the study in multiple sites in the United States. Participants will receive oral tablets of ubrogepant, followed be oral tablets of atogepant, followed by administration of oral tablets of atogepant and ubrogepant in combination. The study duration will be 30 days with a 7 day follow period. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the course of the study at a hospital or clinic. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, telephone assessments, blood tests, checking for side effects, and clinician-rated assessments.
NCT03344887
The iTADS trial will test an important blood donor characteristic - donor sex - to see whether male donor blood leads to a greater benefit for transfusion recipients compared to female donor blood. The trial will help determine how the investigators can tailor the selection of blood donors based on donor characteristics (e.g. sex) to further improve the safety and optimize the clinical benefit of blood products in Canada.

Patients who have undergone free autologous dermal fat grafting to treat complex craniofacial wounds 2-30 years ago will have photographs and small biopsies taken of the area that was grafted.
NCT05347589
The innominate up slip dysfunction is the most common in athletes and non-athletes, who present with low back pain and sacroiliac dysfunction. The main muscular structure that forms the force closure of the joint involves the bicep femoris and gluteus maximus that are involved in the stability of the of the pelvis through immense attachments through the Sacro-tuberous ligament. The objective of this study is to determine the effectiveness of Post Isometric Relaxation (PIR) of Quadratus lumborum with and without Gluteus maximus activation on pain, disability and pelvic tilt angle in patients with innominate upslip suprapubic dysfunction. The study will be a randomized controlled trial involving 34 patients both males and females aged 20 to 40 years with history of unilateral pelvic pain not radiating to L5 or above, Positive finding of sitting flexion test, standing flexion tests, stork test and Positive active straight leg raise test will be randomly recruited by consecutive sampling technique. The subjects having ankylosing spondylitis, lumbar radiculopathy, spinal pathologies, or any lumbar fracture will be excluded. All the patients in the study will be randomly assigned into two groups where Group A will be given muscle energy technique of quadratus lumborum along with gluteus maximus activation and Group B will be a control group treated with muscle energy technique only. Both groups will be given buttock squeezing and drawing in maneuver as common treatment along with muscle energy technique. Each session will be repeated for 20 minutes thrice a week. The treatment duration will be 4 weeks. Outcomes will be measured at the first day and then at the end of the 4th week by numeric pain rating scale, modified Oswestry disability index and iHandy inclinometer application. .
