NCT00420927
This study compared the safety and efficacy of combination therapy with adalimumab plus methotrexate (MTX) to that of MTX monotherapy (i.e., placebo plus MTX) in subjects with early rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
NCT00036153
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of the combination of tacrolimus + methotrexate compared to methotrexate alone in the treatment of the signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis over 6 months in patients with partial response to methotrexate.
NCT00702507
The purpose of this study is to determine whether repeated use of 0.25% miconazole nitrate ointment in newborns and infants with a yeast infection in the diaper area causes the yeast to become resistant to the drug.
NCT00655356
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety profile and the treatment effect of Isolagen TherapyTM compared with placebo when administered to bilateral nasolabial fold wrinkles.
NCT00124982
The purpose of this study is to summarize the safety and tolerability of abatacept during 6 months of combined treatment with one or more of the background non-biologic disease modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs) approved for rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in subjects with active RA. Secondary objectives assessed the clinical efficacy of combination treatment, including disease activity, physical function, and quality of life outcomes.
NCT00685126
The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy of two dose levels of levalbuterol compared with one dose level of racemic albuterol in pediatric subjects aged birth to 48 months old.
NCT00561366
Arimoclomol is a small molecule that upregulates "molecular chaperones" in cells under stress. Arimoclomol extends survival by five weeks when given both pre-symptomatically and at disease onset in a mutant superoxide dismutase (SOD1) transgenic mouse model of ALS. Furthermore, it has been demonstrated to have neuroprotective and neuroregenerative effects in other rat models of nerve damage. Molecular chaperone proteins are critical in the cellular response to stress and protein misfolding. Recent data suggest that the SOD1 mutation responsible for ALS in some patients with familial disease reduces the availability of a variety of molecular chaperones, and thus weakens their ability to respond to cellular stress. Protein misfolding and consequent aggregation may play a role in the pathogenesis of both the familial and sporadic forms of ALS. Therapeutic agents such as arimoclomol that improve cellular chaperone response to protein misfolding may be helpful in ALS.
NCT00244244
The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of arimoclomol in ALS patients following 90 days of dosing. In addition, the amount of arimoclomol in blood and cerebrospinal fluid will be measured.
NCT00607919
This study will evaluate the effect of atomoxetine in treating Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) symptoms in children and adolescents with ADHD and comorbid reading disability (dyslexia)
NCT01255462
This study will assess the safety, tolerability, and serum pharmacokinetics of intravitreal LFG316 in patients with advanced age-related macular degeneration.
NCT00564954
This study compared the efficacy of dex-methylphenidate extended release 20 mg versus placebo during an 8-hour laboratory classroom day.
NCT00119028
Based on the published evidence, collaborative care for depression is both necessary and sufficient for improving care and outcomes for depressed patients in primary care settings. The Translating Initiatives in Depression into Effective Solutions (TIDES) project, upon which ReTIDES is based, developed a VA-adapted version of collaborative care through input from veterans, clinicians, and managers. The initial TIDES project resulted in a clinically stable and effective model as tested in seven primary care practices in three VISNs. This positive result provided the basis for spreading and sustaining the TIDES model and initiating the study of national implementation strategies and issues.
NCT00649428
NCT00671398
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of Ramelteon, once daily (QD), in healthy subjects within a sleep lab.
NCT00772031
The purpose of this study is to compare the reduction in the number of severe headache days at six months in people with chronic migraine treated with topiramate and propranolol versus those treated with topiramate and a placebo.
NCT00771264
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate superiority of percutaneous posterior tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS) therapy compared to sham therapy for the treatment of patients with overall bladder (OAB) symptoms.
NCT01057147
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of 2% rebamipide compared to placebo in clearing of fluorescein staining of the central cornea in subjects with dry eye disease.
NCT00993681
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of the Travelers' Diarrhea Vaccine System to actively immunize against Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli disease in a field setting.
NCT00129961
The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of sirolimus on the prevention of new non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) in kidney transplant recipients.
NCT01382953
The purpose of this research is to simplify the standard recording system of the heart rhythm. The investigators desire to improve the ease of monitoring the cardiac rhythm for 24 hours. The investigators intent is to use a very small, innovative monitoring patch system that relieves the patient of wearing a cumbersome and uncomfortable recording system. This research trial will carry the title "The Simple ECG Monitoring" for Comparison of a Sternal ECG Recording System with a Standard ECG Recording System for Holter Monitoring. The data from the investigational device is for comparative purposes only. It will not be used by medical personnel for study subject treatment or diagnostic purposes.
