NCT00033280
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Combining chemotherapy and radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combining temozolomide with radiation therapy in treating patients who have newly diagnosed anaplastic oligodendrogliomas or mixed anaplastic oligoastrocytomas.
NCT00006360
RATIONALE: Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase I/II trial to study the effectiveness of radiation therapy in treating patients who have stage II or stage III oropharyngeal cancer.
NCT00007007
RATIONALE: Assessment of patients undergoing radiation therapy may help to determine the effects of the treatment and may help improve cancer treatment. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying the memory skills in patients receiving radiation therapy for brain metastases.
NCT03871400
A prospective, multi-center, randomized, self-controlled, single-blinded, clinical study evaluating the NanoMetalene implant as compared to the PEEK and allograft implants in ACDF for the treatment of cervical degenerative disc disease (DDD).
NCT01075321
RATIONALE: Everolimus may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Lenalidomide may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking blood flow to the cancer. Giving everolimus together with lenalidomide may be an effective treatment for lymphoma. PURPOSE: This phase I/II trial is studying the side effects and best dose of giving everolimus and lenalidomide together and to see how well they work in treating patients with relapsed or refractory non-Hodgkin or Hodgkin lymphoma.
NCT02709889
The primary objective of this study is to assess the safety and tolerability of rovalpituzumab tesirine in subjects with specific delta-like protein 3-expressing advanced solid tumors.
NCT01773187
Phase 3, randomized, controlled study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of oral pacritinib compared to Best Available Therapy (BAT) in patients with primary or secondary myelofibrosis.
NCT00003825
RATIONALE: Pentosan polysulfate may be effective in treating side effects of radiation therapy to the abdomen or pelvis. It is not yet known whether pentosan polysulfate is more effective than no further therapy for treating gastrointestinal disturbance caused by previous radiation therapy. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to determine the effectiveness of pentosan polysulfate in treating patients who have inflammation of the rectum, diarrhea, or blood in stools caused by previous radiation therapy to the abdomen and pelvis.
NCT00020969
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of arsenic trioxide in treating patients who have myelodysplastic syndromes.
NCT01194960
Based on both pre-clinical and clinical data, it may be advantageous to administer a cancer vaccine before chemotherapy to enhance immune responses, thus leading to a more effective therapeutic approach for subjects with metastatic HRPC. This clinical study will evaluate the role of combination therapy of TroVax® plus Docetaxel vs. Docetaxel alone on the progression free survival (PFS) of subjects with HRPC.
NCT01389726
This study is a multi-site, four-year long clinical trial study in which several mental health interventions will be delivered to custodial grandmothers and then compared. The study will examine effects on the mental health of these grandmothers and the grandchildren they provide full-time care to in complete absence of the grandchild's birth parents. Grandparents from diverse racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds will be recruited to test for cultural differences in response to these interventions. This study is important because there is growing evidence that custodial grandchildren are at-risk for psychological difficulties due to neglect and abuse by birth parents, challenges to parenting faced by custodial grandparents, and limited access to needed services. This study is funded by the National Institute of Nursing Research, a division of the National Institutes of Health, and it is anticipated that more than 500 custodial grandfamilies in four sites across the United States will partake.
NCT03040713
This study is designed to assess the usefulness of flortaucipir in Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging for subjects diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD).
NCT02322333
This is a double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized, multi-center study. Subjects agreeing to participate in the study and meet the entry criteria assessed at the screening visit, will begin a 28 day baseline period to confirm their diagnosis, as well as establish baseline migraine characteristics. During this baseline period, subjects will continue treating their migraines as usual, simply recording the information in a daily headache diary. Subjects who, after completing the baseline, continue to meet entrance criteria will be eligible to enter into the treatment phase and be randomized according to the Clinvest generated randomization schedule. Approximately 142 subjects (71 subjects per arm) will be randomized and enter the treatment phase receiving MLD10 or placebo in a 1:1 design at 6 United States sites. Diary assessments will collect study medication adherence, pain severity, headache symptoms, acute medication usage, and unusual symptoms. Serum samples will be collected and analyzed for ionized magnesium, electrolytes, and creatinine.
NCT00141830
The primary objective of this study is to compare the efficacy and safety of 3 dose levels of oral ERB-041 administered daily for 12 weeks versus placebo in subjects with active rheumatoid arthritis who have had a suboptimal response to therapy with stable doses of methotrexate (MTX).
NCT02228564
Collect confirmatory evidence of the safety and effectiveness of the Balloon LIFESTREAM™ Stent Graft for the treatment of stenoses and occlusion in the iliac arteries.
NCT04014777
This is a multi-center evaluation of NGM621 in an open-label, single-dose and multiple-dose escalation study in participants with Geographic Atrophy secondary to Age-related Macular Degeneration.
NCT03921879
This research study will test OT-82, which is an investigational ("research" or "experimental" ) drug. The study has two stages (Stage 1 and Stage 2). The purpose of Stage 1 is to determine the safety and tolerability and the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) or the maximum tested dose of OT-82 administered orally to participants. The purpose of Stage 2 is to determine the preliminary efficacy of OT-82 in relapsed or refractory lymphoma at the MTD or the maximum tested dose. Both parts of the study will also evaluate the pharmacokinetics (absorption, distribution, metabolism, elimination) of OT-82. OT-82 treatment slowed the growth, reduced the size, or in some cases cured certain cancers in animal studies. It is hoped that participants with relapsed or refractory lymphoma treated with OT - 82 in this study will experience slowing tumor growth and/or reduction of tumor size.
NCT04258891
The incidence of end stage renal disease (ESRD) is rapidly increasing, now affecting an estimated 7.4 million people worldwide. Numerous parameters such as demographic, clinical and functional factors drive the deterioration of the kidney, ultimately leading to ESRD. Although some ESRD prediction models have been derived in the past years, none of these models are dynamic: they do not integrate the repeated measurements recorded throughout individuals' follow-up. As highlighted in several studies, kidney function repeated measurements (i.e., trajectories) are highly associated with graft survival after kidney transplantation. The investigators made the hypothesis that these trajectories may bring relevant information in the context of graft survival risk prediction model. Hence, combining these trajectories with standard graft survival risk factors may enhance prediction performance. This could permit to derive a robust tool that could be updated over time by continuously capturing patient' personal evolution.
NCT04566055
