NCT06455085
RESTORE tests whether Augmented-FLS, where patients are contacted by a patient navigator (serving as the liaison) and referred to a bone health provider, is better than Enhanced Usual Care, which includes patient and PCP education and activation. We also aim to determine the influence of age, race, ethnicity, sex, poverty level, geographic region, and timing of entry into the trial after a fracture on the effectiveness of the two strategies.
NCT01696721
In previous studies, Proton Beam Radiation Therapy (PBRT) has been found to show better results in treating patients with cancer, both because there is better control of where in the body the radiation is directed and because it is associated with less severe long term side effects. However, there is limited published data demonstrating these results. The goal of the Proton and Photon Consortium Registry (PPCR) is to enroll children treated with radiation in order to describe the population that currently receives radiation and better compare the short-term and long-term benefits of different types of radiotherapy. The data collected from this study will help facilitate research on radiation therapy and allow for collaborative research. The PPCR will collect demographic and clinical data that many centers that deliver radiation therapy already collect in routine operations.
NCT03794635
This study will test an intervention to improve patients' and their caregivers' ability to manage difficult emotions and communicate about the patient's illness. There will be two versions of the intervention used for this study: a culturally tailored version for Latinx participants refined during Phase 1 of this study, and a version of the intervention that was not culturally tailored for Latinx patients and caregivers developed in previous work. The two interventions differ in minor content areas. We will use the culturally tailored intervention for Latinx participants and the non-tailored intervention for non-Latinx participants. This culturally sensitive intervention has the potential to reduce Latino/a patient and caregiver distress and improve patient and caregiver quality of life, shared understanding of the patient's illness, and patients' and caregivers' ability to discuss, identify, and document patients' treatment preferences. The intervention is designed to minimize burden to patients, caregivers, and healthcare institutions to allow for easy integration into clinical practice.
NCT04443517
The investigators intend to recruit 600 participants to see if alpha power during anesthesia is influenced by analgesic medication and associated with a reduction of delirium following surgery.
NCT04395222
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety of reducing and ultimately eliminating anti-thymocyte globulin (ATG) from the haplo-cord transplant conditioning regimen and replacing it with tocilizumab, an IL-6 receptor monoclonal antibody, to improve immune reconstitution and reduce relapse while preserving low rates of graft failure and graft versus host disease (GVHD).
NCT03344965
This research study is for patients with metastatic breast cancer. * Metastatic means that the cancer has spread beyond the breast. In addition, through genetic testing of the blood or tumor, an altered gene has been found that suggests the tumor may not be able to repair its genetic material (DNA) when it becomes damaged. * This aspect of the cancer may cause it to be more sensitive - that is, more effectively killed by certain types of drugs such as the study agent being evaluated in this trial, Olaparib. * Olaparib is a type of drug known as a PARP inhibitor. Some types of breast cancer and ovarian cancer share some basic features that make them sensitive to similar treatments. Information from those other research studies suggests that this drug may help to treat metastatic breast cancer. * This study will evaluate whether olaparib is effective in breast cancer patients whose tumor has a mutation in one of the other genes that function with BRCA1 and BRCA2 to repair damaged DNA .This mutation may have been inherited from a parent, or may have developed only in the tumor. * This study will also evaluate whether olaparib is effective in breast cancer patients whose tumor has a mutation in BRCA1 or BRCA2 that was acquired by the tumor, but not inherited.
NCT05590585
The study is focused on skin of color participants who have moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis. Atopic dermatitis, also referred to as eczema, is a condition that causes the skin to become itchy, dry, and cracked. From the previous studies on the study drug, it is seen that the study drug has an acceptable safety and effectiveness in participants with atopic dermatitis. The aim of this study is to get additional information on the safety and effectiveness of the study drug, particularly the information on aspects of atopic dermatitis in skin of color participants. The study is looking at several other research questions, including: * What side effects may happen from taking the study drug * How much study drug is in your blood at different times * How much the study drug improves quality of life and mental health
NCT04255303
This study evaluates the effects of a novel integrated clinical prediction tool on antibiotic prescription patterns of nurses for acute respiratory infections (ARIs). The intervention is an EHR-integrated risk calculator and order set to help guide appropriate, evidence-based antibiotic prescriptions for patients presenting with ARI symptoms.
NCT06829173
This is an open-label, dose-finding study of XRD-0394 in subjects with newly diagnosed and recurrent high grade gliomas receiving radiation therapy, with and without concurrent temozolomide based on O6-Methylguanine-DNA methyltransferase (MGMT) status for patients with newly diagnosed high grade gliomas.
NCT07316192
Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) is a long-lasting skin condition that causes painful lumps and infections. In severe cases, patients need surgery to remove the affected skin. After surgery, a wound dressing called a wound matrix is placed over the area to help the skin heal. This study will compare two different wound matrices: Restrata®, which is the current standard treatment. Pelashield™ PainGuard™, a newer dressing that contains silver to reduce bacteria and lidocaine to help with pain. The goal of this research is to find out if Pelashield™ PainGuard™ helps patients heal better after surgery than Restrata®. We will look at: How quickly healthy granulation tissue (new healing tissue) forms How soon the wound is ready for the second surgery to apply a skin graft How often infections happen after surgery How much narcotic (opioid) pain medication patients need after surgery Patients who receive Pelashield™ PainGuard™ will be enrolled in the study going forward (prospective group). Patients who previously had surgery with Restrata® will be included through a review of their medical records (retrospective group). No additional procedures will be done outside of standard surgical care.
NCT05388474
The virological efficacy of ibalizumab has been clearly demonstrated in multiple clinical trials. This study will expand ibalizumab's clinical data set and allow a better understanding of the virologic response durability on ARV regimens with or without ibalizumab in a heterogeneous real-world patient population. Additional data on the efficacy and safety of ibalizumab and its impact on patient reported outcomes will be captured until study end. Primary Objective: To evaluate the long-term efficacy, safety, and durability of ibalizumab in combination with other ARVs by comparing the virologic, immunologic and clinical outcomes of patients receiving ibalizumab treatment versus patients not receiving ibalizumab. Secondary Objective: To assess the efficacy of ibalizumab in combination with other antiretrovirals by comparing the virologic, immunologic, clinical and patient reported outcomes of patients before and after they receive ibalizumab treatment. To assess the long-term safety and tolerability of ibalizumab. Other Objectives: To assess risk factors/predictors of virologic and immunologic response. To assess efficacy and safety in special populations that enroll.

NCT06362798
Preterm birth is a leading cause of childhood mortality and developmental disabilities. Socioeconomic disparities in the incidence of preterm birth and morbidities, mortality, and quality of care for preterm infants persist. An important predictor of the long-term consequences of preterm birth is maternal presence during the prolonged infant hospitalization (weeks to months) in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Mothers who visit the NICU can pump breast milk, directly breastfeed and engage in skin-to-skin care, which facilitates breast milk production and promotes infant physiologic stability and neurodevelopment. Low-income mothers face significant barriers to frequent NICU visits, including financial burdens and the psychological impact of financial stress, which hinder their participation in caregiving activities. The investigators will conduct an randomized controlled trial (RCT) to test the effectiveness of financial transfers among 420 Medicaid - eligible mothers with infants 24 - 34 weeks' gestation in four level 3 NICUs: Boston Medical Center (BMC) in Boston, Massachusetts, UMass Memorial Medical Center (UMass) in Worcester, Massachusetts, Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts, and Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Mothers in the intervention arm will receive usual care enhanced with weekly financial transfers and will be informed that these transfers are meant to help them spend more time with their infant in the NICU vs. a control arm (usual care). We received supplemental funding to extend analyses to include extended postpartum maternal health outcomes. The original sample size of 420 remains the basis for the parent trial's primary and secondary NICU caregiving outcomes, while the supplemental funding (effective January 2026) enables analysis of secondary maternal health outcomes up to 12 months postpartum using an expanded analytic cohort. The primary hypothesis is that financial transfers can enable economically disadvantaged mothers to visit the NICU, reduce the negative psychological impacts of financial distress, and increase maternal caregiving behaviors associated with positive preterm infant health and development.
NCT03702725
This is a registration, open-label phase 1 study of the combination of ibrutinib/lenalidomide:/dexamethasone in women and men with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma.
NCT06777901
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if the Auryon Atherectomy System with balloon angioplasty safe and effective in treating lower limb blockages. The main question it aims to answer is: Is treatment with Auryon Atherectomy System more effective than angioplasty alone in preventing death, amputation, revascularization and improving patency? Researchers will compare the Auryon Atherectomy System with balloon angioplasty to balloon angioplasty alone.
