NCT00789958
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as capecitabine and gemcitabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Specialized radiation therapy that delivers a high dose of radiation directly to the tumor may kill more tumor cells and cause less damage to normal tissue. Giving more than one drug (combination chemotherapy) together with radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving capecitabine together with gemcitabine followed by capecitabine and radiation therapy works in treating patients with cholangiocarcinoma of the gallbladder or bile duct.
NCT02745392
This is a randomized, double-blind, multi-center, parallel-group study designed to compare the safety and efficacy of a range of doses of ZP-Zolmitriptan intracutaneous microneedle systems to placebo.
NCT00253630
This phase II trial is studying how well vorinostat works in treating patients with relapsed or refractory indolent non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as vorinostat, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Vorinostat may also stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
NCT02741895
This study will evaluate whether information on postoperative ambulation from Fitbits can improve surgeons' ability to monitor ambulation and identify patients at risk for prolonged length of stay, 30-day readmissions, and discharge to transitional care after major surgery.
NCT00360971
RATIONALE: Growth factors, such as palifermin, may lessen the severity of mucositis, or mouth sores, in patients receiving radiation therapy and chemotherapy for head and neck cancer. It is not yet known whether palifermin is more effective than a placebo in lessening mucositis in patients receiving radiation therapy and chemotherapy for head and neck cancer. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying palifermin to see how well it works compared to a placebo in lessening oral mucositis in patients undergoing radiation therapy and chemotherapy for locally advanced head and neck cancer.
NCT01154075
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the use of a novel method to measure adherence to immunosuppressant medications in predicting rejection episodes in children who had a liver transplant.
NCT01083602
This study is designed to assess the effectiveness of the combination of Panobinostat plus Bortezomib and Dexamethasone in patients with relapsed and bortezomib refractory Multiple Myeloma.
NCT02678286
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the analgesic efficacy of N1539 in subjects with acute moderate to severe pain following abdominoplasty surgery.
NCT02327013
The purpose is to determine the effect of vortioxetine treatment on ADHD symptoms in adult patients with ADHD in a 12 weeks study.
NCT01722045
This is a phase 4, open-label, single arm, multicenter, clinical study in patients with neovascular AMD designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Intravitreal Aflibercept Injection (IAI) administered over 2 years , and to provide clinical information from the first year in the trial evaluating the adverse effects, if any, on the corneal endothelium following administration of IAI.
NCT00408694
This phase II trial is studying how well giving bevacizumab together with cisplatin, radiation therapy, and fluorouracil works in treating patients with stage IIB, stage III, stage IVA, or stage IVB nasopharyngeal cancer. Monoclonal antibodies, such as bevacizumab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Bevacizumab may also stop the growth of nasopharyngeal cancer by blocking blood flow to the tumor. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin and fluorouracil, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Giving bevacizumab together with chemotherapy and radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells.
NCT02366663
This randomized phase III trial studies 90-yttrium ibritumomab tiuxetan and combination chemotherapy compared with combination chemotherapy alone before stem cell transplant in treating patients with diffuse large b-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma that has returned after a period of improvement. Radioactive substances linked to monoclonal antibodies, such as 90-yttrium ibritumomab tiuxetan, can bind to cancer cells and give off radiation which may help kill cancer cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carmustine, etoposide phosphate, cytarabine, and melphalan (BEAM), work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. It is not yet known whether 90-yttrium ibritumomab tiuxetan and BEAM before a stem cell transplant are more effective than BEAM alone in treating patients with diffuse large b-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
NCT02514772
The study objective is to identify potential safety risks of the transition from US-licensed Rituxan® or EU-approved MabThera® to GP2013 (proposed biosimilar product) as compared to continuous treatment with the originator product in terms of general safety and immunogenicity.
NCT02013258
Individuals with Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) have been found to have a deficit of oxytocin-producing neurons and decreased oxytocin receptor gene function, so the purpose of this study is to determine if oxytocin (OT) administration will improve some of the aspects of Prader-Willi syndrome that are particularly troublesome for children and their families (the insatiable appetite and social behaviors). The research questions are: 1. Does intranasal oxytocin cause any side effects in children with PWS? 2. Does intranasal oxytocin administration alter appetite or behaviors in PWS?
NCT03220113
The purpose of the study is assessment of the safety and efficacy of the De-Novo therapy in the treatment of craniofacial neuralgia and migraine headaches. This is an open-label study of simultaneous administration of combination of dexamethasone, lidocaine, and thiamine into the trigeminal nerve branches as well as greater and lesser occipital nerve bilaterally in one session. Patients who meet the exclusion and inclusion criteria are eligible for trial if they have experienced chronic migraine and craniofacial pain not responding to other prior therapies.
NCT00231478
This 2 arm study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of a single intravenous injection of Kytril in preventing postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) in children. Patients will be randomized to receive a single dose of either 20 micrograms or 40 micrograms Kytril intravenously (iv) 15 minutes prior to the end of surgery with general anesthesia for tonsillectomy or adenotonsillectomy. The anticipated time on study treatment is \<3 months, and the planned sample size was 170 patients.
NCT01460134
This is a study of CDX-1127, a therapy that targets the immune system and may act to promote anti-cancer effects. The study enrolls patients with hematologic cancers (certain leukemias and lymphomas), as well as patients with select types of solid tumors.
NCT00435942
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the Relay thoracic stent-graft system to treat thoracic aortic aneurysms. Efficacy will be evaluated by the device-related adverse event rate of endovascular repair (via Relay Thoracic Stent-Graft) through 1-year. Safety will be evaluated by comparing major adverse events through 1-year in subjects treated with the Relay Thoracic Stent-Graft to those who underwent surgical repair. Long term follow-up is conducted through 5 years.
