NCT00002569
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Combining chemotherapy with radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare the effectiveness of radiation therapy with or without chemotherapy in treating patients who have anaplastic oligodendroglioma.
NCT01215942
The primary purpose of this study is to help answer if LY2127399 is safe and effective during long-term treatment in participants with Rheumatoid Arthritis. This study is comprised of 2 periods: Period 1: Unblinded treatment for up to 240 weeks for participants who enroll from Study H9B-MC-BCDO (BCDO) (NCT01202760) or Study H9B-MC-BCDV (BCDV) (NCT01202773) or up to 168 weeks for participants who enroll from Study H9B-MC-BCDM (BCDM) (NCT01198002). Period 2: 48-week post-treatment follow-up
NCT02943226
The purpose of this research study is to compare two types of catheters used for infusing the contrast dye necessary for viewing internal organs during computed tomography (CT) scanning. The standard catheter, which has one hole from which contrast dye enters veins, will be compared to the Becton Dickinson Nexiva Diffusics System catheter, which has three holes for diffusing dye into veins. The purpose of this study is to determine which catheter type gives the best image.
NCT02396238
The primary objective of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of the Celution Device in the processing of an autologous graft consisting of adipose derived regenerative cells (ADRCs) in the treatment of hand dysfunction due to scleroderma.
NCT03544385
This is a study to evaluate the performance of Lid Scrubs when added to the daily regimen of scleral lens wear. Lid Scrubs contain surfactants and chemically developed Ringer's solution with microbial attributes. Lid Scrubs are typically used in the treatment of blepharitis. This study is geared towards showing added benefits to scleral lens patients when adding Lid Scrubs to their daily regimens. This study will also show if Lid Scrubs are capable of antimicrobial properties on scleral lens accessories.
NCT02222493
The study will assess the efficacy and safety of PF-06438179 and infliximab in combination with methotrexate in subjects with active rheumatoid arthritis who have had an inadequate response to methotrexate.
NCT00690378
The purpose of this study is to determine whether NXL104 plus ceftazidime is effective in the treatment of complicated urinary tract infections as compared to a comparator group.
NCT00666588
This phase II trial is studying the side effects and best dose of bortezomib and to see how well it works when given together with combination chemotherapy in treating younger patients with recurrent, refractory, or secondary acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Bortezomib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as idarubicin, cytarabine, and etoposide, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving more than one drug (combination chemotherapy) together with bortezomib may kill more cancer cells
NCT02722044
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the usability of an auto-injector (AI) for the delivery of M923 in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA)
NCT01202773
The primary purpose of this study is to help answer if LY2127399 is safe and effective in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis in participants with an inadequate response to one or more tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) inhibitors. This study is comprised of 2 periods: Period 1: 24-week blinded treatment Period 2: 48-week post-treatment follow-up
NCT01198002
The primary purpose of this study is to help answer if LY2127399 is safe and effective in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis while on a background treatment of methotrexate. This study is comprised of 3 periods: Period 1: 52-week blinded treatment Period 2: additional 48-week unblinded treatment Period 3: 48-week post-treatment follow-up
NCT02794857
This study evaluates NP001 in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and evidence of systemic inflammation. Half of participants will receive NP001 and the other half will receive placebo.
NCT02457364
Ventral hernias are among the most common surgical diseases among patients. The natural history of patients with ventral hernias who are managed non-operatively is unknown. The aim of this prospective trial is to document the natural history of patients who are undergoing initially non-operative management. The investigators hypothesize that 1) the risk of emergency ventral hernia repair is low, 2) the risk of elective ventral hernia repair is high, and 3) patients managed non-operatively will develop increasing hernia size and symptom progression. This is a prospective observational study of all patients undergoing non-operative management at LBJ General Hospital. Patients will be consented and then followed for 5 years. Phone interviews will be done with these patients yearly to assess surgical and medical history, information about their hernia, including pain level due to the hernia, as well as function and quality of life.
NCT01234883
The primary objective of this study is to compare the efficacy and safety of the use of a multiple electrolyte solution to the use of saline for the treatment of moderate to severe dehydration due to acute gastroenteritis (AGE) in children.
NCT01522443
Bone metastases and associated pain are a major cause of morbidity and mortality in castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC). Most approved therapies have shown some ability to reduce soft tissue lesions but none meaningfully impacts bone metastases (as demonstrated by lack of resolution of lesions on bone scan with these agents) or the pain associated with these metastases. This study will evaluate the effect of cabozantinib versus mitoxantrone plus prednisone on pain response and bone scan response in men with CRPC.
NCT01252628
The purpose of this Phase 1/2 open-label study is to determine the safety and efficacy of a cetuximab and PX-866 combination treatment. In the Phase 1 part of the study, the dose of PX-866 to be given in combination with cetuximab will be determined in patients with incurable metastatic CRC or incurable progressive, recurrent or metastatic SCCHN. The Phase 2 part of the study is a randomized evaluation of the antitumor activity and safety of PX-866 in combination with cetuximab versus cetuximab alone in patients with either incurable metastatic CRC who have a history of progression or recurrence following prior irinotecan and oxaliplatin containing regimens or are intolerant of irinotecan (Group 1) or incurable progressive, recurrent or metastatic SCCHN (Group 2).
NCT01090492
The investigators propose that once daily administration of PF-00489791, a phosphodiesterase inhibitor, will reduce vasospasm and improve symptoms and signs associated with Primary and Secondary Raynaud's Phenomenon.
NCT00621686
RATIONALE: Monoclonal antibodies, such as bevacizumab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Sorafenib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Bevacizumab and sorafenib may also stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking blood flow to the tumor. Giving bevacizumab together with sorafenib may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying the side effects and how well giving bevacizumab together with sorafenib works in treating patients with recurrent glioblastoma multiforme.
NCT02657421
The purpose of this single-arm observational study is to observe and document clinical outcomes of the OLIF25™ and OLIF51™ procedures in patients diagnosed with degenerative disc disease or degenerative scoliosis, and report the rate of adverse events of interest through the 24 months follow-up visit.
NCT02053168
Collect data on safety, performance, and effectiveness of Phasix Mesh in subject requiring primary ventral and incisional hernias.
