NCT00555321
The purpose of this clinical research study is to evaluate the effects of belatacept, relative to tacrolimus, on the incidence of rejection, graft loss and death in subjects receiving a liver transplant
NCT00447187
This was a pivotal trial to determine whether LX201 reduces the likelihood of a graft rejection episode following corneal transplantation in patients at high immunological risk for rejection.
NCT00014144
RATIONALE: Biological therapies such as ZD 1839 may interfere with the growth of the tumor cells and slow the growth of cancer of the urinary tract. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of ZD 1839 in treating patients who have advanced cancer of the urinary tract.
NCT00796705
Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a systemic inflammatory autoimmune disorder that leads to inflammation and progressive joint damage affecting 2.5 million people in the United States. The primary purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of switching to an alternative Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF) alpha inhibitor in comparison to continuing treatment with an existing TNF-alpha inhibitor in adults suffering from RA in a setting of inadequate clinical response to etanercept or adalimumab.
NCT00337493
This study will determine which, if any, allelic variants of mycophenolic acid (MPA) metabolizing enzymes, drug transporters and drug targets are associated with the observed variation in pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic outcomes observed with CellCept usage. Patients participating in study ML17225 will be eligible for this pharmacogenetic investigation, and will have one additional blood sample taken during the study. The anticipated time on study treatment in study ML17225 is 1-2 years, and the target sample size is 500+ individuals.
NCT00003293
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. It is not yet known whether SU-101 is more effective than procarbazine in treating patients with glioblastoma multiforme. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare the effectiveness of SU-101 with that of procarbazine in treating patients with glioblastoma multiforme that has recurred.
NCT00690716
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effect of nasal carbon dioxide in the treatment of mild headaches in people who have migraines.
NCT00421642
This is an open-label study of 20 patients designed to demonstrate the safety, tolerability and preliminary evidence of benefit of adalimumab in the treatment of subjects with Ulcerative Colitis, both in patients who have never received anit-TNF agents and in those who have lost response or developed intolerance to previous infliximab therapy.
NCT01248468
The main purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy and safety of aspirin, acetaminophen and caffeine (AAC) with sumatriptan and placebo in the acute treatment of migraine.
NCT00655369
In a Phase II trial in subjects with nonrestorative sleep, PD 0200390 demonstrated a positive treatment effect relative to placebo on the primary endpoint, the weekly version of the Restorative Sleep Questionnaire (RSQ-W). In this study, the dose-response relationship of varying doses of PD 0200390 using the Restorative Sleep Questionnaire (RSQ-W), will be explored in Nonrestorative Sleep subjects.
NCT00682500
This study will determine if administration of an suspension of calfactant, a lung surfactant, intratracheally in patients with Direct Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome within 48 hours of requiring mechanical ventilation can decrease the mortality in patients with lethal disease and shorten the course of respiratory failure in patients with sub-lethal disease.
NCT00493285
The overall objective of the MEDI-534 clinical development program is to evaluate the safety, efficacy and tolerability of MEDI-534 for the prevention of serious RSV and PIV3 disease in young infants.
NCT00938236
This trial is a longterm follow up of a phase III study of inhaled cyclosporine for the prevention of chronic rejection in lung transplant recipients.
NCT00300274
This trial was to examine the impact of everolimus and reduced dose of cyclosporine on efficacy and safety compared to mycophenolate mofetil and a standard dose of cyclosporine in heart transplant recipients.
NCT00366834
This is a Phase III trial designed to demonstrate that casopitant (GW679769) plus dexamethasone and ondansetron is more effective in the prevention of vomiting than dexamethasone and ondansetron alone following the administration of moderately emetogenic chemotherapy.
NCT00759057
This non-inferiority study will compare the clinical outcomes of subjects implanted with the Dynesys Spinal System versus the clinical outcomes of subjects implanted with an instrumented posterior lateral spinal fusion.
NCT01257542
15 mg dextromethorphan hydrobromide will be better than placebo with respect to reducing the number of coughs over 6 hours and reducing the subjective severity of cough over 6 hours.
NCT00977080
Evaluates the effectiveness of on-label Paricalcitol versus Cinacalcet with Low-Dose Vitamin D.
NCT00327392
Very often patients receive medications before a diagnostic, therapeutic, or surgical procedure to help them relax, keep them calm, and to relieve them from pain. This is called procedural sedation. With respect to minimal-to-moderate procedural sedation for minor surgical procedures, a patient is first given a pain-relief medication (analgesic) and then a medication to help him/her relax and keep calm (sedative). AQUAVAN is a chemically modified form of propofol, a commonly-used sedative drug. AQUAVAN acts like a slow release version of propofol, and is being studied to see if it can safely keep patients calm and relaxed during their medical procedure and then allow for rapid and clear-headed recovery.
NCT00446654
The purpose of this research study is to determine how safe and effective subconjunctival injections of CGC-11047 are in subjects with wet age related macular degeneration at two different dosing intervals.
