Malnutrition of hospitalized patients is reported in the range of 20-60% according to the definition and assessment method of malnutrition. In particular, the incidence of malnutrition in cancer patients is high up to 30-85%. Gastrointestinal disease is related to the digestion and absorption of nutrition therefore malnutrition rate of those patients is relatively high. Careful management of nutrition support is needed. Malnutrition causes dysfunction of the mesenteric membrane, immune function impairment, decreased function of major organs such as liver, kidney and heart and alteration in pharmacodynamics. It could also increase infection rate and complications of chemotherapy, delay recovery time, so that increase morbidity, mortality and length of hospital stay. Proper nutrition management reduces malnutrition prevalence and medical costs of hospitalized patient, therefore nutrition screening and evaluation is necessary. The recent spread of smartphones has made it easier to record and evaluate meals, which are used in the diet market for weight loss through meal records and feedback based on smartphone applications. This approach is also expected to benefit patients with gastrointestinal cancer, where proper nutrition and feedback are important. In particular, pancreatic cancer, the worst intractable cancer of mankind, is digestive cancer with the most severe muscle mass reduction and nutritional deterioration after diagnosis.

The purpose of this study is to help us learn what the best amount of fluid is that patients should receive during pancreas surgery. Patients will receive either the liberal fluid amount for this surgery or a restricted fluid amount. Both amounts of fluid have been used safely in patients having similar surgeries. These amounts have not been compared in pancreatic surgery. The fluids regimens that will be given are not experimental. This study will compare patients in the liberal and restricted fluid groups in terms of the nature of any surgical complications (problems)and recovery from surgery, including length of hospital stay.

This multicenter, non-randomized, Phase II study will assess the efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetics of trastuzumab emtansine in participants with HER2 overexpressing locally advanced (unresectable and not treatable with curative intent) or metastatic urothelial bladder cancer (UBC), locally advanced (unresectable and not treatable with curative intent) or metastatic pancreatic cancer/cholangiocarcinoma with advanced disease where cure is no longer possible and where no other treatment options are available anymore. Participants will receive intravenous (IV) infusion of trastuzumab emtansine as Regimen A (2.4 milligrams per kilogram \[mg/kg\], weekly \[qw\]) or Regimen B (3.6 mg/kg, every 3 weeks \[q3w\]) until unacceptable toxicity, withdrawal of consent, disease progression (PD), or death, whichever occurs first. Based on tolerability and safety aspects, steering committee and Independent Data Monitoring Committee (iDMC) will decide on expansion of the study to include more participants with other carcinoma types.

The objectives of this pilot study are: (i) to compare response to chemotherapy, time to disease progression and overall survival in patients with pancreatic cancer who will be treated with gemcitabine (or other nucleoside analogs) who demonstrate \[18\]F-FLT uptake to those patients who do not demonstrate \[18\]F-FLT uptake; (ii) to correlate \[18\]F-FLT uptake with hENT1 expression in biopsy samples where available; (iii)to determine the presence or absence of uptake, the relative uptake score (RUS), standardized uptake value (SUV), and tumor to background ratios (T/B) of \[18\]F-FLT in patients with known carcinoma of the pancreas and assess this uptake in relation to time to disease progression; and (iv) to demonstrate the safety of \[18\]F-FLT.

Data of 100 patients with locally advanced pancreatic cancer who received stereotactic radiotherapy or ct-guided radioactive 125I seed implantation in the multicenter of the research group from July 2019 to June 2021 were collected, as well as follow-up data.To evaluate the clinical efficacy of stereotactic radiotherapy and ct-guided 125I seed therapy with 3D printing template in pancreatic cancer;In addition, the local control rate and side effects of ct-guided radioactive 125I particles in the treatment of pancreatic cancer lesions were explored, and the efficacy and safety of different doses of stereotactic radiotherapy were determined.

The purpose of this study is to see if a combination of paclitaxel protein bound (also known as nab-paclitaxel), gemcitabine, and cisplatin when given with high dose Ascorbic Acid will be safe and effective in individuals with untreated metastatic pancreatic cancer. Vitamin C is a nutrient found in food and dietary supplements. It protects cells and also plays a key role in making collagen (which provides strength and structure to skin, bones, tissues and tendons). High-dose vitamin C may be given by intravenous (IV) infusion (through a vein into the bloodstream) or orally (taken by mouth). When taken by intravenous infusion, vitamin C can reach much higher levels in the blood than when the same amount is taken by mouth. Some human studies of high-dose IV vitamin C in patients with cancer have shown improved quality of life, as well as improvements in physical, mental, and emotional functions, symptoms of fatigue, nausea and vomiting, pain, and appetite loss. Intravenous high-dose ascorbic acid has caused very few side effects in clinical trials.

This phase II trial studies how well epacadostat and pembrolizumab work in treating participants with pancreatic cancer that has spread to other places in the body. Epacadostat may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as pembrolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving epacadostat and pembrolizumab may work better in treating participants with pancreatic cancer.

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. It is not yet known if gemcitabine is more effective with or without capecitabine in treating pancreatic cancer. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to determine the effectiveness of gemcitabine with or without capecitabine in treating patients who have advanced pancreatic cancer.
