NCT07027254
This study is a randomized controlled trial to assess the clinical utility of gallium-68 pentixafor PET/CT in the management of primary aldosteronism (PA). We aim to evaluate whether the addition of 68Ga-pentixafor PET/CT to standard adrenal venous sampling (AVS) improves surgical outcomes in patients with unilateral PA.
NCT06143566
This study will investigate the utility of a polypill-based strategy for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and high risk of heart failure (HF), as assessed via the WATCH-DM risk score. Polypill therapy will consist of empagliflozin 12.5 mg, losartan 25, 50 or 100 mg, and finerenone 10 mg daily. The study duration is 6 months, and participants will be randomized to either polypill therapy or simultaneous prescription of the individual drugs. The primary outcome is change in peak VO2 and adherence to usual care. The investigators hypothesize that the use of a polypill is feasible and improves medication adherence and peak VO2 as compared to those receiving usual care.
NCT03480217
The goal of this study is to use a cluster-randomized design (1:1 ratio) among 8 primary care clinics affiliated with New York-Presbyterian Hospital to test the effectiveness of a theory-informed multifaceted implementation strategy designed to increase the uptake of the 2015 United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) hypertension screening guidelines. The primary outcome is the ordering of out-of-office blood pressure testing, either ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) or home blood pressure monitoring (HBPM), by primary care clinicians for patients with newly elevated office blood pressure (BP), as recommended by the 2015 guidelines.
