The HeartMate PHP System is a temporary (\<6 hours) ventricular assist device indicated for use during high-risk percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) performed electively or urgently in hemodynamically stable patients with severe coronary artery disease, when a heart team, including a cardiac surgeon, has determined high-risk PCI is the appropriate therapeutic option. Use of the HeartMate PHP Systems in these patients may prevent hemodynamic instability, which can result from repeat episodes of reversible myocardial ischemia that occur during planned temporary coronary occlusions and may reduce peri-and post-procedural adverse events.

Congenital heart defects (CHDs) are a heterogeneous group of rare diseases of varying severity, each diagnosis with its unique set of co-morbidities. In addition to the heterogeneity, perhaps the greatest challenge to conducting comparative effectiveness research in CHD patients are the poor rates of successful transition from pediatric to adult centered cardiology care and high rates of gaps in recommend care for adults with CHD. This study will use PCORnet to examine the effects of gaps in recommended care (cardiology visits) on patient prioritized outcomes for adults with non-complex and complex subtypes of CHD. This system will be established through 14 (12 recruiting) PCORnet affiliated institutions and linkage to the Congenital Heart Initiative registry (https://chi.eurekaplatform.org), the first patient powered registry for adults with CHD. This registry launched in December 2020, and is IRB approved at Children's National Hospital (IRB# Pro00014697). Funded by PCORI, this project will recruit patients at the 12 PCORnet affiliated institutions and will invite them to contribute their health records data and then join the established Congenital Heart Initiative. By enrolling patients and linking their PCORnet (health record) data into an existing adult congenital heart disease (ACHD) specific registry, future interventions to reduce gaps in care based on study findings can be rapidly implemented in real-world settings through the strong partnerships established with key CHD stakeholders.

The purpose of this research study is to learn about arrhythmia detection in obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). For several years patients with OSA have an increased likelihood of having irregular heartbeats. This study will determine how often patients with OSA have irregular heartbeats. This study will also define which OSA patients are most likely to have irregular heartbeats. The participant is being asked to be in the study because the participant has been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).

SCORE is an active, prospective, non-randomized, multi-center outcome-oriented registry of patients implanted with St Jude Medical (SJM) market-released cardiac rhythm management (CRM) products. This registry will be conducted in the United States (US). The primary purpose of the registry is to evaluate and publish acute and long-term performance of market-released SJM CRM products by analyzing product survival probabilities. Product status and any related adverse events will be collected to measure survival probabilities.

In an earlier study, eplerenone was shown to improve survival in patients who had heart failure immediately following a heart attack. However, it is not known how patients with established mild-to-moderate heart failure (NYHA Class II), who have the additional risk of sudden death, will respond if treated with eplerenone. In this trial, eplerenone plus standard heart failure medicines is being compared to placebo plus standard heart failure medicines in terms of an additional ability to prolong life and prevent re-hospitalizations for worsening heart failure in these patients. The Data Safety Monitoring Committee (DSMC) observed during its conduct of the protocol-specified second interim analysis on the 6th of May, 2010 that the efficacy of eplerenone had met the pre-specified stopping rules in the protocol. As a result of the discussion between the DSMC and the Executive Steering Committee (ESC), the ESC recommended that EMPHASIS-HF should be terminated, Based on the convincing efficacy and the consideration that it would be unethical not to offer this treatment to patients, the ESC recommended that all the patients in the trial should be transferred to open-label eplerenone. The Open Label Extension eplerenone arm will last for 12 months. Eplerenone is not currently approved for the indication studied in this patient population. On May 26, 2010, further enrollment into EMPHASIS-HF was stopped. The amendment is considered to be the most appropriate way to ensure that all the subjects who participated in the double-blind phase of the EMPHASIS-HF trial can be offered treatment with eplerenone

The goal of the PREEMPT-HF study is to collect device and clinical event data to evaluate extended applications of the HeartLogic Heart Failure Diagnostic (HeartLogic) in a broad spectrum of heart failure patients with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator or cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator. There are no primary safety and/or efficacy endpoints for this study. Heart failure is a complex clinical syndrome with high morbidity, mortality, and economic burden. Chronic Heart Failure is persistent, gradually progressive, and punctuated by episodes of acute worsening leading to hospitalizations. Therefore, there remains an unmet clinical need to slow the progression of Heart Failure and prevent hospitalizations. HeartLogic, available in Boston Scientific cardiac resynchronization therapy devices and defibrillators, combines novel sensor parameters such as heart sounds and respiration with other measurements like thoracic impedance, heart rate, and activity into a HeartLogic Index for the early detection of worsening Heart Failure. However, there is limited data on the association of HeartLogic with the risk of Hear Failure readmissions and tachyarrhythmias, or for phenotyping the broad spectrum of Heart Failure patients.

The purpose of this study is to collect and analyze electrical measurements, timing, and signals from a CRT-D device in heart failure patients who either already have an implanted left atrial pressure sensor or will undergo a simultaneous implantation of a left atrial pressure sensor and a CRT-D device. These devices may be placed at the same time or separately (staged procedure) at the discretion of the investigator. A comparison will be made between the information gathered from the CRT-D system and the information gathered by the left atrial pressure sensor.

The purpose of this clinical investigation is to evaluate the performance and safety of the HeartMate 3 Left Ventricular Assist System (HM3 LVAS) To support obtaining CE Mark for the HM3 LVAS in Europe, a multi-center clinical study will be conducted in multiple countries. The clinical study will be conducted in compliance with the Declaration of Helsinki, ICH/GCP and EN ISO 14155:2011 Requirements for Clinical Investigations and in accordance with country-specific requirements, under one clinical study protocol. This study will evaluate the performance of the HM3 LVAS, side effects and undesirable conditions within acceptable risks and weigh them against the intended performance of HM3 LVAS in accordance with Essential Requirements 2, 5 and 16 of the Active Implantable Medical Device Directive 90/385/EEC (AIMDD).
