NCT03988114
The reason for this study is to see if the drug abemaciclib in combination with nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitors (anastrozole or letrozole) is effective in participants with Hormone Receptor Positive (HR+), Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 Negative (HER2-) advanced breast cancer that have certain disease characteristics.
NCT03247478
This is a prospective, single-center, non-randomized, non-controlled observational study.
NCT02506777
This study evaluates the addition melatonin and metformin to conventional chemotherapy FDC (Fluoruracil, Doxorubicin, cyclophosphamide) in the treatment of locally advanced breast cancer. Third of patients will receive FDCх6 cycles, other third will receive combination of melatonin and FDCх6 cycles and other patients will receive combination of metformin and FDCх6 cycles.
NCT03546673
This study is a randomized controlled trial (RCT) with the aim of determining the cultural sensitivity, feasibility, and effectiveness of an expressive writing intervention for Chinese breast cancer survivors.
NCT02946619
NCT03262831
The investigators hypothesize that a personalized yoga program with mindful movement implemented during breast cancer therapy will benefit women in multiple ways. The investigators predict that women participating in the program will experience less weight gain and fatigue and will have an improved quality of life compared to women not participating in the program. The investigators predict that this will be associated with decreased markers of inflammation. The investigators will also evaluate whether there is improved pathologic response rate compared to historical controls. This study will provide pilot data for a larger randomized controlled trial assessing whether program can provide long-term improvement in quality of life, weight maintenance, and the serum and tumor changes correlating with a reduced risk of recurrence and mortality.
NCT02307240
This is a Phase I, open-label, multi-center trial designed to evaluate the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of CUDC-907 administered orally to subjects with advanced/relapsed solid tumors.
NCT01975363
This randomized pilot clinical trial studies a nanoemulsion formulation of curcumin in reducing inflammatory changes in breast tissue in obese women at high risk for breast cancer. Curcumin may reduce inflammation in breast tissue and fat. This may affect the risk of developing breast cancer.
NCT02688725
Currently, there is no standard recommendation for using imaging studies to check patients for breast cancer recurrence who have been treated with mastectomy. The investigator proposes performing in-office ultrasound examinations of these patients to determine if this would be helpful in identifying an expected 5-7% of patients with breast cancer recurrences following mastectomy.
NCT02611557
This study will apply novel, noninvasive structural and functional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) methods to patients with mild and moderate breast cancer-related lymphedema (BCRL) for the first time to test fundamental hypotheses about relationships between lymphatic compromise and imaging biomarkers that may portend disease progression and individualized therapy response.
NCT02040935
This single-arm, open-label, local multicenter study will evaluate the safety and tolerability of trastuzumab administered subcutaneously (SC) by a single-use injection device (SID) in participants with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive early breast cancer (EBC), following surgery and chemotherapy (neo-adjuvant or adjuvant).
NCT02045368
This phase I dose escalation study will evaluate IGF-Methotrexate conjugate (765IGF-MTX) in patients with advanced, previously treated tumors. 765IGF-MTX is administered as an IV infusion over 1 hour on days 1, 8 and 15 of a 28 day cycle. Treatment continues until disease progression, unacceptable toxicity, or patient refusal. Assessment of response will be confirmed with imaging studies performed at the end of cycle 2 +/- 7 days, and every 2 weeks thereafter.
NCT01390064
Objective - Determine the safety and tolerability of a peptide mimotope-based vaccine upon immunization of breast cancer subjects.
NCT01243541
RATIONALE: Cryotherapy may help prevent peripheral neuropathy or nail toxicity in patients receiving chemotherapy. PURPOSE: This clinical trial studies cryotherapy in preventing peripheral neuropathy and nail toxicity in patients with breast cancer who are receiving paclitaxel.
NCT04059835
This study evaluates how two different types of postoperative bra 1) standard bra, soft VS 2) compression bra compression after breast cancer surgery affect pain, seroma, other symptoms and complications, and the womans experience of comfort
NCT02525718
Subjects are being asked to participate in this study because they will be undergoing unilateral (one) or bilateral (two) mastectomy surgery with immediate reconstruction involving insertion of a tissue expander.
NCT04027400
Potential study participants will be recruited at breast cancer survivor support groups. Informed consent will be obtained with a form approved by the TWU IRB and participants will complete 4 tests. Then participants will be randomly assigned to one of two computer-assisted cognitive programs. Participants will be sent by email, exercises specific to their assigned computer-assisted cognitive program from Happyneuron Pro (http://ie.scientificbraintrainingpro.eu/). Cognitive training on the computer entails 30 minutes a day, five times a week for one month. At the end of the study, the four pretests will be repeated, a satisfaction survey administered.
NCT00900367
RATIONALE: Studying samples of blood from patients with cancer in the laboratory may help doctors learn more about nutrition-related changes that identify biomarkers related to cancer. It may also help doctors predict a woman's risk of developing breast cancer. PURPOSE: This laboratory study is looking at nutrition-related biomarkers in predicting breast cancer risk in women.
NCT01907529
The trial was designed to study the efficacy and safety of neoadjuvant docetaxel, epirubicin in combination with cyclophosphamide(DEC) plus human recombinant endostatin (endostar) for breast cancer patients. The hypothesis of this protocol is that the combined an active angiogenesis agent to chemotherapy could enhance the pathological responce rate and further benefit breast cancer patients.
NCT02683083
Primary purpose of the clinical study is to evaluate the safety, biodistribution and radiation dosimetry of \[131I\]-SGMIB Anti-HER2 VHH1 in healthy volunteers and patients with HER2+ breast cancer. Secondary purpose of the clinical study is to evaluate the tumor uptake of \[131I\]-SGMIB Anti-HER2 VHH1 in patients with HER2+ breast cancer.
