The objective of this study is to compare the effects of mime therapy using mirror therapy application of tablet PC vs mime therapy on acute bell's palsy. Study Design was Randomized control trial with Sample Size was 22. Sampling Technique was Purposive sampling. Randomization was done through a sealed envelope method. Study Setting included Physiotherapy department of DHQ Teaching Hospital, Mirpur Azad Kashmir. Inclusion criteria were Age between 30-60year, Both male \& female and Acute bell's palsy ( 2-3 weeks). Exclusion criteria were Individuals with the other neurological deficits, Visual impairment, History of facial palsy of central type, Surgical intervention for ear and facial nerve palsy and Non-co-operative patients. tools used for assessment was Sunnybrook Facial Grading system scale, House-Brackmann Facial Grading System and Patients Global Impression of Change. Individuals who met the inclusion criteria were included in this study. All participants went through randomization and divided into two groups Experimental group 1 (these individuals will receive mime therapy using tablet PC mirror application)and Experimental group 2 (these individuals will receive the control intervention including the mime therapy). Pre-intervention assessment is made for both groups. Then intervention will apply to both groups. Estimated time of treatment protocol will be 30 minutes session, 4 times/week for 4 weeks in the hospital setting. Subjects will be evaluated at baseline, then 2nd week and 4th-week assessment will be the final. All statistical analyses were performed through SPSS 21. Normality of data was assessed and after checking normality parametric or non-parametric test was applied accordingly. .

The motor disorders of CP are often accompanied by disturbances of sensation, perception, cognition and behavior. Besides classical appearance of symptomatology, tactile impairment takes an important place to be evaluated. Assessment of the integrity of tactile function composes of two main steps: tactile registration and tactile perception. Our main goal is the define the effect of tactile impairment on hand motor function with the usage of identical assessment tools in patients with unilateral cerebral palsy (UCP) and typically developed children (TDC).

In patients undergoing total thyroidectomy, intraoperative nerve monitoring according to the International Standards Guideline Statement may detect nerves more susceptible to injury. The aim of our study was to evaluate the independent risk factors of vocal cord palsy, including those related to pre-dissection nerve monitoring values. Methods: Prospective observational study in 95 consecutive adult patients undergoing elective total thyroidectomy in Spain. A single experienced phonologist performed a videostroboscopy (VS) exam preoperatively and one week after surgery to assess vocal cord mobility. Each surgical procedure was performed with intermittent intraoperative neuromonitoring. Latency and amplitude values were obtained for the vagal and recurrent laryngeal nerves before surgical dissection and compared with the postoperative VS exam.

Therefore, the objective of this study was to examine the effectiveness of soft orthosis and strapping system on balance, and gait performance in children with dyskinetic cerebral palsy.

With the increase in life expectancy of our population due to advancement of medical diagnosis and treatments, the incidence of age dependent neurodegenerative diseases increased, including Alzheimer's disease (AD), parkinsonian syndromes (PS), small vessel disease (SVD) and motor neuron disease (MND). In spite of the progress of knowing the pathogenesis of various neurodegenerative diseases at molecular and genetic level, they are still very incompletely understood and often cause diagnostic and therapeutic challenges to physicians. Due to the overlapping presentation and similar brain pathology, especially in the early stage of the diseases, it is difficult to differentiate idiopathic Parkinson's disease (iPD) from atypical parkinsonian syndromes, such as multiple system atrophy (MSA) and progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP). Similarly, distinguishing AD from other dementia syndromes including frontotemporal dementia (FTD), dementia with Lewy Bodies (DLB), corticobasal degeneration (CBD) and vascular dementia can be difficult. It is necessary to develop accurate and comprehensive diagnostic tests to properly prognosticate the diseases, start treatments in early stage of the diseases and maximize the accuracy of drug trials for more effective preventive and therapeutic measures for these neurodegenerative diseases. Therefore, the registry aims to generate a large database of cognitive, behavioral, lifestyle and psychological information of the subjects who suffered from neurodegenerative diseases, as well as to examine the genetic basis of neurodegenerative diseases to help decode the pathogenic mechanisms of the diseases. The registry may provide important information to understand symptom development of the neurodegenerative diseases, in which may help physicians to diagnose the diseases more accurately and provide better treatment plans.
