In this study cameras placed at the bedside will be evaluated for their ability to safely and accurately measure vital signs, such as heart rate and breathing, continuously after heart surgery. Camera-based measurements will be compared with the usual checks that nurses perform several times a day using sensors on the skin or finger clip. The goal is to see whether camera monitoring can help notice changes in a patient's condition earlier. Another aim of the study is to find out whether the camera monitoring can predict if a patient's health is improving or worsening. Patients and healthcare staff will be asked by the investigators about their experience to learn whether this type of monitoring is acceptable in daily care.

This randomized controlled trial investigates the effects of massage therapy on sleep quality, stress, comfort, and vital signs in preterm infants (gestational age 35-37 weeks) admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Van YYU Training and Research Hospital. Infants in the intervention group will receive a 15-minute massage three times a day for three consecutive days, while the control group will receive standard care. Data will be collected using the Premature Infant Comfort Scale, Neonatal Stress Scale, actigraphy for sleep monitoring, and vital sign measurements. The study aims to determine whether massage therapy can improve the overall well-being and development of preterm infants in NICU settings.

Small connected devices monitoring vital signs do not exist in children although they could be very useful to monitor patients once they have left the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) in order to early identify patients at risk of PICU readmission. The main objective of this study is to assess the accuracy of a connected thoracic patch (VT-Patch) for the continuous monitoring of vital signs in PICU patients. This monitoring device will be used to monitor children in PICU for 8 hours and results will be compared to the standard of care in the unit which is the Philips monitoring system. The investigators will assess the device's accuracy for the monitoring of 4 vital signs (SpO2, heart rate, respiratory rate and temperature) and perform exploratory assessment of three additional parameters (EKG, blood pressure and movement capture). The skin colour of each participant will be categorized based on Fitzpatrick scale and non-invasive spectroscopic method.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of virtual reality intervention during cesarean delivery under spinal anesthesia on labor pain, anxiety, satisfaction and hemodynamic parameters in primiparous pregnant women. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Is there a significant difference between the mean intraoperative pain scores of the pregnant women in the intervention group and those in the control group? 2. Is there a significant difference between the mean intraoperative anxiety scores of the pregnant women in the intervention group and those in the control group? 3. Is there a significant difference between the mean birth satisfaction scores of the pregnant women in the intervention group and those in the control group? 4. Is there a significant difference between the vital signs of pregnant women in the intervention group and those in the control group? 5. Is there a significant difference between the mean apgar scores of the pregnant women in the intervention group and those in the control group?

This observational study aims to determine the correlation between capillary refill time (CRT) and vital parameters in patients presenting to the emergency department. It explores whether CRT is associated with triage categories and vital signs in non-traumatic patients, including oxygen saturation (SpO₂), heart rate, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, body temperature, forearm temperature, and respiratory rate. Patients admitted to the emergency department of a training and research hospital were assigned triage codes (green, yellow, red). Their CRT was measured three times, and vital signs were recorded accordingly.

Digital health interventions, including remote monitoring of patients, have been identified as a possible way to address current problems within the health service, including insufficient numbers of staff, and an increasing number of patients requiring services. The aim of this study is to assess the feasibility of using remote monitoring for patients who are receiving palliative care and to see whether remote monitoring can improve care and outcomes for patients and their families. Participants in this study will complete regular (daily, weekly, monthly) questionnaires online about how they are feeling. They will also be given equipment to measure their vital signs every day. The clinical team will have access to the results and be able to respond to any new problems as they arise. Patients and their carers will then complete a questionnaire at one month to assess satisfaction with the use of remote monitoring.

This study aims to examine the effect of olfactory mental imagery on physiological parameters, anxiety and symptoms after cardiovascular surgery. This study was planned to be conducted as a prospective randomized controlled study in the Cardiovascular Surgery service of Istanbul Mehmet Akif Ersoy Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Training and Research Hospital. The universe of the research; It will consist of patients who are hospitalized in the cardiovascular surgery service and who have undergone cardiovascular surgery. The sample will consist of a total of 90 patients hospitalized in the Cardiovascular Surgery service of the same hospital and meeting the inclusion criteria for the study. Patient Diagnosis Form, Physiological Parameters Monitoring Form, State Anxiety Inventory and Cardiac Surgery Symptom Inventory will be used to collect data. Data will be collected on days 1, 2, 3 and 4 after surgery. In the study, patients will be divided into two groups: intervention (n = 45) and control (n = 45). The intervention group will perform breathing exercises with the olfactory mental imagery technique.

: Patient readmission to PICU is a major point of concern for physicians because, although being a rare event, it has been strongly associated with more morbidity and death. Patient monitoring once they have left the PICU is drastically modified, and small connected devices could be an option to early identify patients at risk of PICU readmission. Such devices have been manufactured for the recording of vital signs in adults, but they do not exist for children. Besides, studies have recently shown that devices that use optical sensors may be less accurate in individuals with dark skin pigmentation since dark skin tones impose a limitation on optical biometric sensing. The wearable and medical device industry has not sufficiently addressed this issue yet. This is one of the main challenges that need to be addressed in this area to make sure the connected devices using this technology will work with all different skin colours including very dark skin.

In the international delivery room guidelines, it is not specified which position is optimal for the baby stabilization. Here, the investigators want to evaluate the effects of the positions on postnatal adaptation and cerebral oxygenation in the delivery room of infants who did not require resuscitation. Infants will be randomly stabilized in the supine, right-side, left-side and prone positions (60 babies in all, 15/position). The investigators will record the 1st and 5th min Apgar scores and the heart rate, pulse oximetry and perfusion index at 2nd,5th and 10thmin. Near-infrared spectroscopy will be used to assess cerebral regional oxygen saturation.

Bodytrak® is a wireless earpiece which can monitor the user's vital signs such as tympanic (ear) temperature and heart rate. The earpiece is non-invasive and should fit comfortably within the right ear, similar to an earphone with an over-the-ear hook. Bodytrak is currently in a prototype stage. The purpose of this study is to assess the feasibility of conducting a trial investigating the integration of Bodytrak in an NHS (National Health Service) environment at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital; to collect patient vital sign data for the development of Bodytrak algorithms to detect the transition point of recovery/deterioration of health, as well as the level of consciousness; and to obtain nurse and patient feedback regarding their user experience of Bodytrak.

Title: The acute effect of water pipe smoking on exhaled nitric oxide (eNO) and exhaled breath condensate (EBC) pulmonary function tests in healthy volunteers Objectives: To evaluate the acute effect of one cession of water pipe smoking on airway inflammation as assessed by exhaled nitric oxide (eNO) and exhaled breath condensate (EBC) in healthy volunteers. Design: Prospective study evaluating these parameters before and after 30 minutes of water pipe smoking . The changes in inflammatory parameters pre and post smoking will be evaluated blindly. Sample size: 100 participants Participant selection: Adults subjects who regularly smoke water pipe . Intervention: Each subject will undergo evaluation including a respiratory questionnaire , pulmonary function tests , exhaled nitric oxide (eNO) and exhaled breath condensate (EBC) and carboxy- hemoglobin levels . All measurements will be evaluated before and after one cession of 30 minutes water pipe smoking Primary outcome parameter: Change in carboxy- hemoglobin Secondary outcome parameter:Change in peripheral eosinophils count, pulmonary function tests, change in FeNO, and in inflammatory parameters in EBC before and after water pipe smoking
